The Belko Experiment Movie Review

*Spoilers Under the Cut*

This movie defiantly exceeded my expectations. The trailer looked amazing and the concept seemed original enough. Over all I was not disappointed in this film.

This horror flick is directed by Greg McLean. An ordinary day at the office becomes a horrific quest for survival when 80 employees at the Belko Corp. In Bogota Colombia, learn that they are pawns in a deadly game. Trapped inside thier building, anvoice over an intercom tells the frightened stafferes that two workers must be killed within 30 minutes. When another ultimatum follows, friends become enemies and new alliances take shape, as only the strongest will remain alive at the end.

The concept was pretty refreshing. It had a “Saw” feel to it but it was done very well. The movie stars John Gallagher Jr., Tony Goldwyn & Adria Arjona. Tony’s character seemed like a good boss but after putting him in that horrific situation…I was wishing for his character to get killed. John’s character stayed the hero (sort of) through out the film and I was rooting for him to survive. Over all every character¬† (large and small) was interesting and the gore in the film wasn’t over the top which was great for this film.

This movie is defiantly high on my list of rewatches. Its pretty messed up to have to kill someone you have known for such a long time or someone you look up to. But it really shows what people would go through to survive. Your time won’t be wasted on this film!
