The Witcher Season 1 Review

I finally got to see “The Witcher” just before the new year started and I have to say, this show is really starting to grow on me! I did see the trailer for the TV series and at first glance, I wasn’t interested. But deciding with my husband we wanted to watch some new shows, we decided to settle on watching season one of the show and oh man…why did I try to pass up on this show!

The Witcher is a fantasy drama series created by showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich for Netflix. It is based on the book series of the same name by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. The first season, consisting of eight episodes, was released in its entirety on December 20, 2019. A second season was announced for release in 2021. The witcher Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world in which people often prove more wicked than beasts.

This show has everything I’m looking for…action, fantasy, bits of comedy and lots of mystical monsters. Now I know a lot of people are trying to compare this show with Game of Thrones and honestly, you shouldn’t. Game of Thrones was its own world and The Witcher has its own world and we should just keep it that way.

I know the second season of The Witcher will premiere in 2021, so best believe I will keep my eyes out for this show!

2020 & Beyond

Hello, my fellow readers!

I know my posting to my blog has been scarce and it really shows on my recent activity to my blog. I’ve been dealing with full-time work, my mom being in the hospital and late bill payments. My depression and anxiety usually kick up around this time of the year but it was also affecting writing my stories and updating my blog…

Recently this week I’ve been updating my writing projects and have been fully focusing on my writing career. I can’t have a writing career if I have nothing to show for it. 2020 is upon us and I’m looking to do drastic changes on my projects and career.

Movie Review Scale

I’ve recently been watching new movies and reliving old classics. After going back to my older movie reviews, I realized I don’t have a movie scale to go about my review. I decided with every movie review, I’ll add a sign of the horns. 1 horn will be it was horrible ranging to 6 horns meaning “go see that shit!” I’m planning on going to the movie theaters more often for the 2020 year.

TV Show Reviews

This will be hard for me to review TV shows in the 2020 season, due to the fact I will be working on different projects and working a full-time job, but My goal next year will be talking about my favorite shows from past to present.

Wrestle Mania

I’m a huge wrestling fan. I’ve fallen off the radar of the topic, but I do try to keep up to date on the subject. I’ll write some articles on the topic and my reactions to the matches that go on. I’m even planning on trying to see a live wrestling match for the 2020 year.

End of an Era

As of now, I will no longer be writing Kit Harington or Game of Thrones fan fiction. I will be converting those fanfics into original short stories or poem writings. By the end of next year, most of those stories will be gone. Thank you to all of my followers and fans who have been reading my fanfics over the years! I hope you guys enjoy the new content I will be coming out with this 2020 season!

Poetry in Motion

I’m still writing poetry and as of late, I’m branching out into different poetry styles. Keep on a good lookout of my new poetry writings & the different styles I’m exploring…

I have so many writing projects in the works for 2020; two anthology’s, my new novel and short story contest I’ve been participating in…The year 2020 is going to be me going big or going home! If you have been with me for the past 4 and half years of my writing career, I just want to say thank you for following me in my journey and I hope you continue to follow me in my career path of being a full-time writer.

Stranger Things Season 3 Review

It’s hard to say much more about Stranger Things Season 3 without giving away too much. With a refreshing helping of humor and summer sunshine, this time around Stranger Things focuses on what the show does best…

Why I Love the Show Superstore

With Game of Thrones, Stranger Things and Big Mouth still not on TV at the moment, I and my husband have been struggling to find something good on TV to watch. One night my husband stumbled upon “Superstore” on Hulu and I just have to say I thank him every day for showing me this amazing show!

This show is about an oddball family of employees at supersized megastore Cloud 9 tackles the day-to-day grind of rabid bargain hunters, riot-causing sales and nap-worthy training sessions. Stalwart employee Amy is just trying to hold it all together despite the best efforts of her daftly clueless manager Glen and his iron-fisted assistant Dina. Rounding out the crew is new hire Jonah, a dreamy dreamer, sardonic Garrett, ambitious Mateo and sweet young teen mother Cheyenne. From bright-eyed newbies to seen-it-all veterans, bumbling seasonal hires and in-it-for-life managers, they’re all going to get through another day — together.

Honestly, if you ever worked in retail, this show will defiantly give you tickle and maybe some bad memories. All of the out laddish scenarios in this show I’ve encountered a few times at my job at American Girl. My husband really can relate to this show because of his 20+ years in retail as a store manager. Overall this show is really entertaining. My favorite character out of everyone in the show is Garrett. His dry senses of humor and quick sarcasm really remind me of my husband.

I really do recommend this funny show to watch on Thursdays on NBC or you can stream seasons 1-3 on Hulu!
