I walked and I pray,

I sit in silence and I weep into darkness,

I fall into deaths arms,

In this cold winter’s night,

I walked and I pray,

I kept my love in the summer heat,

The shelter alone could not take me off my feet,

I walked and I pray,

I am finally free from deaths glowing heat…

Creative Projects

Through this past month, I’ve been working on different projects for different contests or submissions. Each one is due some time in July, but I’m still trying to get each project edited by the end of this week and next week.

The first project that needs to be submitted is my action-adventure idea for Impact & Netflix. I’ve always wanted to write for movies, so I’m going to take this opportunity to write an outline and screenplay for my idea.

I want to write an action/buddy cop comedy that has an all-female black cast. It’s Beverly Hills Cop, Bad Boys & Lethal Weapon mixed with Mission Impossible, James Bond & Die Hard. I want the film to have a good balance between action and comedy. I’ve been dreaming of this moment my whole life, so now I see a chance for me to bring out a movie idea I had since I was a kid.

Now I’m a little short on time (It’s due July 5th) but with some thought out planning (maybe even working during my lunch break at work) I’m confident that I’ll have my idea finished and submitted for the Netflix project.

Midnight & Indigo is looking for black authors to write horror/sci-fi for their publication. I’m so excited about this because I love to write horror stories and sci-fi stories. I’m rewriting my story ”Devour” for this contest. The story just needs to be written and edited. It’s due July 12th for submission. Again, I’m gonna have to work double-time on this project but I’m excited for this contest. I have to thank my nieces Vanessa Moore for giving me the heads up on this contest.

I’m also going to be writing up a pitch and working on my WIP ”Lost Echo” so I can receive a agent with Graydon House/Harper Collins Publishing. They are looking for unagented black authors for publication. I have until September 8th to submit my work, so I’m making some time and dedication to that writing project.

I’m still putting together my own anthology novel that I’m trying to publish by the end of this year. The novel is called “Words By Midnight”, it will have a series of poems and short stories that are emotional and romantic. I’m pushing for the final draft to be done by August so I can have it submitted to an editor by August.

I have a huge road to accomplish on my creative ideas and up and coming projects. For the first time in months I’m really excited about creating my writings and sharing it with the world…

Blood Grave

I’m already involved in an anthology project with coffee house writers. I’m also working on my own anthology novel that I’m trying to launch by the beginning of 2021. But I decided this week to submit a short story for The Sleeping Darkness Awakened.

My short story is named ”Blood Grave” It’s based off these three vampires; one that’s African, one that’s Taíno, and one that’s Spaniard. It’s based in the late 1500’s during settler times of the new Americas. They would pray and devour anyone that comes in there path. It took a village witch to curse them in their relics and coffins.

Fast forward to 400 years later, their three descendants has now awakened them from their dark cave, after realizing from the horror they have caused, they must figure out how to stop these bloodthirsty creatures from killing innocent lives before the full eclipse. In which then they will live on our earth forever.

I’m already in the middle of this story, so my piece should be done and edited by next week. I’ve always wanted to write a historical type of horror story, so I figure this the best time for it! I’m not quite sure if they will choose this story or if it will be published, but if it does get chosen, I’ll update you guys on the process.

Also during the future I’m going to be writing some back story novels on each character in my Wattpad page! I’ll also do some Pinterest pins on the ideas of my story!

“So basically, you fucked a random dude that almost killed someone?” Bianca asked with a sort of amusement. She was about three beers in, and she still could not believe what she was hearing.

Janita rolled her eyes in amusement at her best friend’s brashness, but she knew her friend meant no harm by her question. If anything, the beers her friend is consuming is helping her relax a bit so she can tell her story.

“Well if you put it that way…” Janita chuckled as she sat up from her chair that was placed in the middle of the room. “Yes, I did a random man who almost killed someone…”

“Shit, you almost didn’t get paid for it…” Bianca’s tipsy statement made both women laugh out loud. The situation at the time for Janita seemed scary and uncomfortable. It seemed to be almost complicated to explain her feelings now. Janita could remember all the horrid men she had to sleep with for money. Keeping track of each man and what their services were a tedious task during those times. But Vincent did something to her that made her feel like she was not a prostitute. She could have cared less about the money or what she was doing with him. He made her feel like she was his only lover. She was something important and something valued. It was a special type of feeling that she could live for centuries.

“You didn’t feel him bite your mouth?” Bianca coaxed with curiosity as she watched Janita settle in her seat.

“Not at first no, but just as my illness started to get worse…” She breathed deeply as she finished her sentence. “I started to learn what he truly was…”

There was a hard bang at the door. The morning sun blared into the small room. The banging of the door kept ringing in Janita’s head.

She lifted herself up from the bed and she looked around the room. Everything was in place from the night before except for the man she spent the night with. The morning sun blared on her face as she sat up in her bed. She looked around the room to see if perhaps Vincent was still around, but there was not a soul inside the room with her.

“Open this door now!”

The booming sound gave Janita a huge headache. The lump in her throat felt sore as she slowly got up off her bed. She answered the door with her messy hair and her silk white robe clutched around her body.

The moment she opened the door, Frank; the owner of the brothel slammed the door wide open in anger. He stood taller than Janita’s 5’5″ inch frame but he also had a wider stance.

“What in the bloody hell happened last night?!” He screamed at her.

Janita stepped back in terror as Frank angrily came closer to her. She tried to piece together the events that happened last night, but everything was a blur.

“I-I don’t know-” she tried stuttering out her words but she was met with a slap across the face.

“Don’t lie to me, you wench!”

The side of her left face felt on fire as she tried to gather herself.

“Two men were fighting over me last night, that’s all I know” Frank wanted to slap her again but he decided against it. She might have been telling the truth he thought.

“Who did you see last night?” Frank asked with a huff.

“I saw the man that started the fight” Janita lied. She knew if she could blame the person that did the most damage, it would help her not get hit again.

“He was tall with long black curly hair and brown eyes, left before I could get any money from him” Janita braced herself for the lash she was about to receive. Frank looked at her with a snare, ‘So she is telling the truth’ he thought. “Your wrong” Frank said. Janita looked at the slinky and frightening man in confusion.

“You are wrong in the sense that your guest left a hefty sum for you” Frank looked down at the frightened and sickly woman that was in front of him.

“He left before sunrise, but he gave me your name, I’m more pissed that he wrecked my goddamn table”

There was a sense of relief on Janita’s part. She knew he needed to “pay” for her time and companion. But the blissfulness of their passion left her forgetting where she was and what she was doing.

“Clean yourself up, you have work tonight”

Frank turned himself from Janita and left the room without another word. Janita was left in the middle of the room in shock and feeling some type of warmth. A warmth that was happiness, something she has not felt in an exceptionally long time.

Touch: Erotic Tales of Passion

Infected: Chapter 8

Hadera ran into the parking lot with blood dripping down her face. Her heart was beating so fast that it felt like it was about to burst from her chest. Her vivid illusions were getting out of hand.

She ran through the park cars trying to get to safety. What if those dogs come back? What is that dark shadow that keeps coming for her? She did not know what to make of this situation. She made her way past the exit door and out in the middle of the street.

The sunlight burned her eyes, she did not know what to do or where she should turn to. Just as she was ready to walk slowly down the sidewalk, she saw the dark figure waiting for her at the end of the street. There was no one around but her and this demonic demon that gave her a sinister look. His ghostly eyes pierced at Hadera as she stared at him in terror.

Rage & Pain: Words from A Black Author

I have kept so much pain inside me these past few days that I feel weak from the inside. I am grasped by the anger that I feel inside. The rage of others from the cries of “I can’t breathe”. The silence of my voice makes me feel helpless. I feel as if the world is crushing me with their hatred and racism.

The senseless death of an unarmed black man has left me breathless and my soul angered. In these past few days, I am left with a rage that can set the world on fire. I am embracing the anger; I am holding it deep within my chest. The sadness and heartache of seeing another person of color lose their light in this world have left me wanting to scream in fury.

This anger, this pain has changed me. The last words of” I can’t breathe” are now embedded within my soul. I took the fire that was burning my heart and I fueled it to help raise my voice. I have picked up that pain that was inside of me and I let it spill out into action. Marching and letting my words speak the truth, I am letting my voice carry on so the world will you that black lives do matter.

The pain from another, the anger from my community will be heard from the depths of this world, and from the words of this black author, Black Lives Do Matter.

“My apologies…”

Janita turned to look at the man that was now standing by the Inn’s chamber door. The room was dimly lit by scattered about candles. How they made it up to these chambers so fast, Janita could not answer that fully. But all she fully knew was this intriguing man saved her life.

“No need for apologies sir” Janita’s voice was raspy and harsh from all the fitted coughing she was doing over the day. She hated to talk because of it. But this did not stop the young man from wanting to hear more from her.

“What’s your name?” He asked. Now his voice is much softer from his earlier interaction.

“Beautiful…” He gave Janita a small grin as his piercing light brown eyes looked at her. All she could do was lightly smile back. Her chest started to fill up with fluid again. She felt the pressure in her chest to cough, but she tried to compress the feeling, even though it was hard to do around this total stranger. Finally, the urge to cough was becoming too overwhelming. Janita let out a loud unhinged cough. The cough that she gave was rough between her throat and heaving at her chest, but no blood came out this time.

She felt the mysterious strangers’ presence near her now. It did not scare her or made her feel uncomfortable. In fact, it made her feel safe.

She did not know this man’s name or where he had come from, but then again, she never knew her client’s name or where they come from. Something deep down inside Janita knew that this man was something different than the rest of the men she has ever been with.

Janita’s heart started to race as the tall man stepped close to her. He was now in front of her, his eyes glowing in the dim-lit room. She held his gaze for a bit before she could find her voice to speak to him.

“What’s your name, sir?” she whispered to him. Her harsh English accent was quite over his tilted lips. With a swift and gentle kiss, she started to breathe in his earthy scent. Just as he pulled away, he spoke his name.

“Vincent…” His name spilled on to Janita’s lips as they started to kiss again. The burning sensation in her chest eased away as Vincent’s tongue traced itself on her lips. He hastily pulled himself away from there sudden embraced and steadily looked down at the shorten breath women.

“We-we don’t-have to do this-” Vincent hastily said. Janita started to feel the heat growing inside her as she felt his fingers trace over her hips. His hands were deathly cold, but she welcomed every touch that this man was giving her. It was not cold in harsh feelings; it was cold in physical touch.

“It’s okay, I want this” her voice was small in between his lips. For the first time since she has been thirteen doing this type of work, she believed her own words. She wanted to make love to this man that randomly stood up for her in front of those vile people.

The custom feeling of cold and disgusting while having sex with a man was gone. She started to feel this desire and passion from a complete and total stranger. His hands traveled up her long skirt to reach her soaking mound. The slightest touch to her body made every cell in her go on fire. The slickness of her mound coated Vincent’s fingers as he played with her softly. His fingers massaged her clit in slow but gentle motion. Janita let her shaken hands roam around his strong arms.

He still had on his silk black jacket and white cotton top. Everything started to come off slowly. His jacket and top came off with ease. Her tightly corset and skirt were soon off her sickly warm body.

She was still weak from her sickness, but that did not stop her from feeling the ever overwhelmingly warmth growing throughout her sensitive body.

“I’ve had my eyes on you all night, my love”

His silky voice gave her a sensual sensation. He slowly laid her down on the harsh mattress. She arched her back as her hips meet the delicate thrust of his slender fingers. Her moans echoed throughout the room, almost drowning out Vincent’s slow panting. Her harsh and dry voice grew in pleasure as she felt his index and middle finger go deep inside her.

“Oh, god,” Janita pleaded into the thick air. Her walls started to clamp down on his digits in a slow grip. He pumped faster into her as he slowly starts to kiss her tender lips.

She did not feel the piercing pain as he started to draw a small amount of blood from her tongue. It was only a numbed sensation as she felt the red liquid drip down her pale skin. His long and thick member touched her lower abdomen gently. He nestled himself between her numbed parted legs.

Everything around Janita seemed dizzy as she felt each breath she was taking. She must be imagining that Vincent’s teeth were protruding sharp fangs. She must be in a delusional state that there was blood on his lips. But the ever-growing pressure of his thrusting was sending her over the edge. The nervousness of having any sexual relationship with this stranger was nonexistent in Janita’s mind.

His eyes and rhythm entering her body made her feel whole but in a fulfilling way. A first for her in this type of profession. A foreign feeling to Janita is to have a sense of release, but she happily excepted her first orgasm since having sex at the age of thirteen.

She knew the tall tale signs of a man’s release. But instead of feeling disgusted and hurt, she felt a sense of warmth and satisfaction as he released himself inside of her.

Both bodies rested against each other. Everything seemed to go by so fast in one whole sweep. She gave a glance to this total stranger, he put a man through a table in her defense, and now she is feeling his warm semen inside of her. What started out as a hellish day in Janita’s world, has now become a blissful and mysterious night in a mysterious strangers’ arms.
